1. The Original Sin of Adam closed Heaven for all men (sanctifying grace was lost) ... Hell became the only possible destination for the immortal souls of men.

Introduction:

1. The voice of God on earth ... the Catholic Church ... must have unity of Faith. This unity if Faith is brought about by a hierarchical structure with a single authoritative office ... the Office of the Papacy (currently vacant, see Sections 12 and 13).

2. This Section includes selected writings from the first four centuries ... that place the center of the Church at Rome and the head of the Church in the Office of the Papacy.

3. The Office of the Papacy brings about the unity of Faith ... because the Sources of Dogma (the Faith) are the formal definitions of the Pope in union with the bishops of the world. There cannot be an instances a parallel "hierarchy" which would break the unity of Faith. No other office can be in the Primacy over the whole Church throughout the world besides the Papacy.

4. Subscribing to the Papacy ... in times like these when the Office is vacant (because of heresy) ... means simply subscribing to the Dogma promulgated by the Pope in union with the bishops of the world. If you are not currently doing so, please see Sections 2.1 and 19.1 of this site, to have some chance of getting to Heaven.

Clement of Rome, The First Epistle of Clement, circa 96 A.D. >
"Through envy and jealousy, the greatest and most righteous pillars (of the Church) have been persecuted and put to death. Let us set before our eyes the illustrious Apostles. Peter, through unrighteous envy, endured not one or two, but numerous labours and when he had at length suffered martyrdom, departed to the place of glory due to him."

For you decided that it was proper to refer to our judgment, knowing what is due to the Apostolic See, since all we who are set in this place, desire to follow that Apostle from whom the very episcopate and whole authority of this named derived ... that whatsoever is done, even though it be in distant provinces, should not be ended without being brought to the knowledge of this See, that by its authority the whole just pronouncement should be strengthened, and that from it all other Churches (like waters flowing from their natal source and flowing through the different regions of the world, the pure streams of one incorrupt head)...you also show your solicitude for the well being of all, and that you ask for a decree that shall profit all the Churches of the world at once."
